A Little About Me

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that life rarely presents challenges one at a time.

You may be adjusting to a chronic illness, and also trying to maintain relationships. Recovering from an injury, and also worrying about work. Managing chronic pain, and also dealing with a difficult relationship dynamic. Therapy can be a place where all of those experiences are welcome.

I have a particular interest in working with individuals who experience chronic illness, injury recovery, chronic pain while also navigating life transitions and the many emotional and practical challenges that can accompany them. These experiences often affect far more than physical health. They can influence mood, relationships, identity, confidence, and even the physiological responses that shape how we experience stress, safety, and connection.

My approach is personable, interactive, and collaborative. I come to therapy ready to work alongside you, helping you better understand what is happening beneath the surface while identifying practical strategies that can support meaningful change. I believe many of the thoughts, emotions, and patterns we struggle with developed for good reasons. At one point, they may have helped us cope, adapt, or protect ourselves. Together, we can explore which patterns continue to serve you and which ones may be keeping you stuck.

My work integrates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. I enjoy helping clients connect the dots between past experiences, current challenges, and the ways their minds and bodies respond to stress. As we build insight and awareness, we can begin creating new patterns that feel more flexible, effective, and aligned with the life you want to live.

While therapy often involves meaningful reflection, it doesn't have to feel heavy all the time. I believe humor, authenticity, and genuine human connection can be powerful parts of the healing process. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, challenged when needed, and supported as you move toward the changes that matter most to you.

A Note to the LGBTQIA+ Community - I am committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, supported, and accepted for who they are, not in spite of who they are. I value each person’s unique identity and strive to foster an affirming and inclusive environment for all clients.
